Japan And India Signed Pact On Bullet Trains And The Nuclear Deals Too

The much talked about historic memorandum on civil nuclear cooperation finally reached its
culmination on  Saturday,  as the two  countries signed a  pact on this potential partnership. This strategic partnership is expected to take Defence to a new level.  Following this treaty, it's also agreed that these countries will play a  significant role for defence production  and technology transfer.

Here's an excerpt of the document

"The two governments confirm that the Agreement will be signed after the technical details are finalised, including those related to the necessary internal procedures."

Besides this MoU, the agreement signed by Shinzo Abe and Narendra Modi, also talks about the high-speed (bullet trains) railway between Mumbai and Ahmedabad.  There are 14 other pacts signed across sectors. Stated by the experts, this treaty between Japan and India on the potential nuclear co-operation reflects the former's unflinching trust on India's non-proliferation record and voluntary moratorium on further nuclear tests.

If reports are to be believed, the conducive ground for this much awaited nuclear treaty was formed long before.  During the visit of Abe, who is betting heavily on India as a partner for maintaining stability in Asia,  Japan's had  almost made its  mind  to sign this treaty. However, over this period of time, Japan  was apparently insisting on the tougher safeguards, though  India  was comfortable with the former template based on Indo-US nuclear deal. According to the officials , two countries have had  exhaustive  negotiations on the issues of nuclear non-proliferation, reclaiming rights of used nuclear fuel, tracing  and scrutinizing clause and nuclear tests. Informed by the spokesperson of Japan's Foreign Ministry, Yasuhisa Kawamura, Abe has emphasized on the importance of a world free of nuclear weapons. The nuclear co-operation between the two countries, thus does not promote nuclear bouts.

"The memorandum is a shining symbol of a new level of mutual confidence and strategic partnership in the cause of a peaceful and secure world," Modi said. The treaty comes with a two way agreement- In the first place, it involves the Transfer of Defence Equipment and Technology and secondly, it involves Security Measures for Protection of Classified Military Information that strengthens foundation of deep strategic ties. The pact also involves a continuation on the US-2 amphibian aircraft.

Life in Chennai is at Stake as the Floods Worsen

The continuous rains over the past few days has turned Chennai into a perfect disaster zone. With submerging homes, rail tracks, roads, and the airport runway too, waterlogging seems to take an appalling shape everywhere. The Government of India along with the intervention of the State Government have already lent a helping hand to rescue the victims. The central force has been deployed in the affected areas to carry out with the rescue work and distribute food.

As the condition deteriorates, schools, shops, factories and offices were immediately shut. Over an extended period of time, the city itself is completely detached from the rest of India due to the no supply of electricity and inactive phone lines. According to the leading weather stations, India Meteorological Department (IMD), the city has already experienced 249.1 mm and 345.1 mm of rain, respectively, which is the highest rainfall recorded in the past 100 years..

With heavy rains expected over the next three days and the deal toll rising at a significant high, the government has adopted several contingency measures to deal with the situation. The State Government has already issued an advisory to private firms to declare holidays for their employees on December 3-4 in Chennai, Kancheepuram and Tiruvallur.

As per the reports, around 2,200 people in Chennai are already rescued from flooded areas by army personnel.Meanwhile the the navy, has deployed pressed divers and boats into service. 7 helicopters are also underway to Tirupati.

Services at banks and ATMs were also closed due to the shortage of diesel affecting their generator back-ups. “For the first time in history, the water level of the Adyar river has reached the bridge. This is the worst spell of rains that I have ever seen in this city. We called the police and the Chennai Corporation in the morning to appeal for immediate rescue. But they have not turned up yet,” said R Gopalan, a resident of Vasudeva Nagar in Jafferkhanpet.

The rescue efforts of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and Navy are already in operation in the worst hit areas- Mudichur near Tambaram and the banks of the Adyar river in the city. In addition to that shortage of diesel and floods also affected the media houses, with some TV news channels and newspapers resulting into the suspended operations.

According to the Tamil Nadu government officials,  about 2 lakh food packets were distributed and hundreds of people are provided medical assistance. Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa has already attended for  an aerial survey of the affected areas.

Renault Kwid: A Real Run for Money to the Small Cars in India

So what if the Indian market is flooded with the small cars that are making huge profits these days? The all new Renault Kwid is on its way to give all the popular small cars a tough competitions. Even the Maruti Alto, which has so far been considered the most happening car of the scoop is going to get a real run for money with the arrival of Renault KWID.

Here's a snapshot of what the car has squeezed in it.

Renault Kwid Specs:
Engine: 799cc
Power: 53bhp
Fuel: Petrol
Transmission: 5-speed manual
Torque: 72Nm
Claimed Mileage: 25.17Km/l

The Very first thought
It's the body. That impressive structure is likely to amaze you at the very first sight. It's not a simple entry-level compact car, rather the very first sight will make you feel that the car is pretty big. It's adequately big when considered from the aspect of its price. And then the features. It has got nearly all the features that a luxury high-end car is supposed to have. No other cars in this segment offers a multimedia system with satnav, Bluetooth and USB connectivity, front power windows, on-board trip computer, and a gear shift indicator. Would you expect more at this price range?

The Space is Spacious

You are sure to be surprised as you get inside it. It's incredibly spacious compared to the cost. It has got pretty comfortable front seats and there's ample leg space around the rear. Though the rear seats suffers from scarce under-thigh support the boot, at 300 litres, is the biggest of all small cars of that price range. In fact, it's even bigger than the i20's. Talking about the space, mention must be made of cubbyholes, two glove boxes, a large door pockets and sufficient space in the centre console.

The Engine
It's incredibly effective and that's the reason why a brand new engine placed just under the roof is giving so much of benefits. The engine is 3 pot unit with 799cc. The power output it offers is 53bhp, and torque is rated at 72Nm. But, the interesting part is, there's adequate power, despite the numbers seeming low on paper. Power delivery is linear, and short gearing is also slow, which helps in making a smooth journey with it.

The performance
The Kwid rides well even after considering the horrible conditions of most of the Indian road. While the potholes can be tackled with ease , the bumps can be comfortably filtered out , thus making the journey easier. The rear suspension is soft. Downside of the soft suspension and high ground clearance of 180mm is the body roll. There's plenty of it, and no other car of its size and time can't offer these high-end specification.

The ultra-light steering is great that can automatically help in manoeuvring through taut city spaces and while parking, but for highway speeds, it's important to keep in correcting it constantly. Experts say that during speed, the Kwid feels more safe than Alto.

Kwid Looks Nice
The SUV-inspired design and beautiful styling makes it an eye-candy. In terms of performance it's better than. The cladding across the sides and reinforces the appearance.

And finally the Price…
There's no doubt that the pricing strategy of Renault Kwid is quite aggressive and Renault will go extremely aggressive on the pricing. For all the SUV-like styling, all the features and a new engine and platform the makers of the car would have asked for more . Kwid is just 3.53 lakhs. No wonder, you are getting a good value for their bucks.

So, want to buy a Renault Kwid car now? Go for it right now , but without spending a dime. All you need is to play and win the New Year Dhamaka game at Foreseegame.com. And the Brand new Renault Kwid will be all yours.

Mark Zuckerberg, Now a Father Donates All Money For a Better Future Of His Child

Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan has recently announced that they are going to donate nearly all (99%) of their wealth for the social cause, as an act of celebration of their new baby daughter, Max. Last week, when the daughter arrived in their life, the duo had decided to do something significant for the society that will help solving some of its problems.

On his Facebook post, Zuckerberg has announced that over time, the family will done 99% of the Facebook stockholdings to some pressing social causes that involves disease, education and others. The couple is looking to build up a strong social community and has pledged already to give away half their assets during their lifetime. However, they have not yet spilled the details of the specifics.

Recently, they are busy with their new found organization called the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, that is essentially designed to pursue the social goals through a slew of charitable donations, private investment and promotion of government-policy reform. "Like all parents, we want you to grow up in a world better than ours today," the 31-year-old social media mogul and his wife scribed in a letter to their daughter, which they also posted on Facebook. Such an announcement on Zuckerberg's part surely stunned the charity world. According to the president of the nonprofit Center for Effective Philanthropy ,"It's incredibly impressive and an enormous commitment that really eclipses anything that we've seen in terms of size."

As of now, the new organization will function as a limited liability company, more specifically a non-profit foundation. "They want the most flexibility and they are going to use a wide variety of activities to achieve their mission," says Rachael Horwitz, a Facebook spokeswoman, said via email. "So in that way this is not a foundation nor is it entirely charitable."

Though there's nothing new in their act of donating money, yet right now investing such a huge amount is surely a concern. Initially Zuckerberg has also showed an interest in influencing public policy. Along with that, Zuckerberg has also encouraged his other properties at Silicon Valley to take part in his initiative. According to a letter to their new born daughter, their only goal is "advancing human potential and promoting equality." It seems, he has already reached his goal. Zuckerberg has also added "We must make long term investments over 25, 50 or even 100 years. The greatest challenges require very long time horizons and cannot be solved by short term thinking."

According to the other sources, the Facebook co-founder is one of the world's wealthiest men, who
has already had quite a few significant contributions to his credit. mention must be made of the previous donation amounting to $100 million (roughly Rs. 665 crores) to public schools in Newark, New Jersey, and pledged $120 million (roughly Rs. 798 crores) to schools in poor communities of the San Francisco Bay Area. They've also given $75 million (roughly Rs. 498 crores) to the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, where Chan did her medical training.

However, while making his announcement about the donation, he has also said that such an attempt will never delimit his states as the shareholder of the company. In fact, Mark Zuckerberg will solely control the shareholder of the company in future. According to the sources, he will donate an amount more than $1 billion of Facebook stock every year for the next three years
