It's Just A First Day Out And Windows Has 14 Million Fans

Getting fans to scream its amazing features is nothing new to Microsoft, especially when it' linked with Windows. One of the most popular offering from Microsoft, Windows comes out all new every time it has got a new update. And there's no difference with Windows 10, the latest and most novel innovation from the house of Microsoft.  As they have declared in their blog http://blogs.windows.com/bloggingwindows/2015/07/30/windows-10-the-first-24-hours/, Windows 10, immediately after it's launched scored 14 million users.

From Sydney to Nairobi to London to New York City, Microsoft celebrated with fans in every nook and corners. The leading officials from Microsoft say, "We have seen unprecedented demand for Windows 10, with reviews and customer feedback overwhelmingly positive around the globe. We are doing everything we can to upgrade the world to Windows 10 as quickly as possible over the coming days and weeks ahead".

According to the sources, migration to Windows 10 seems to show acceleration as the expansion campaign of Microsoft is including a lot of things in the OS beyond its Windows Insider program. Though, the news of the deployment of Windows 10 within insiders was making rounds for quite some time, it gradually rolled out to widespread availability.

Windows for the Insiders

According to the Microsoft, Windows 10  will be initially made available to roughly 5 million-strong Windows Insider group before offering the OS to home users who had already preorded it. Apparently, they have  started with the  deployment campaign  beyond the  OS to an additional 9 million users.

Yusuf Mehdi, the corporate Vice President of Microsoft's Windows and Devices Group, said that "The  company is working round the clock to drive the upgrade process. However, Microsoft is prioritizing quality over quickness."We are grateful for your excitement and enthusiasm and we appreciate your patience over the days and weeks ahead as we carefully roll out Windows 10 in phases to all of you that have reserved."

The Story Behind the Curtains

However,  there's  also another behind a successful  post-launch 24-hours and the flood of positive reviews. Many people still have some adverse reviews regarding Microsoft's latest OS. The folks at Mozilla aren't too happy about the way Microsoft is doing the upgrade, especially the migration of user settings.

In an open letter to Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella , Mozilla CEO Chris Beard stated about  "a very disturbing aspect of Windows 10." Upgrading to Windows 10 effectively supersedes user preferences for web browsers, replacing a Chrome or a Firefox with Microsoft's brand new Edge browser. And this is  interpreted as quite "unprofessional" by the Mozilla folks.  In the letter, Beard has also said , " It now takes more than twice the number of mouse clicks, scrolling through content and some technical sophistication for people to reassert the choices they had previously made in earlier versions of Windows. It's confusing, hard to navigate and easy to get lost."

Mozilla is a non-profit but is  constantly making serious  endeavours to  elevate the Internet experience beyond improving its own products. And such an  attempt from Microsoft is quite disappointing for them.

And Finally….
However,  as  of now, the  makers of Windows 10 are quite upbeat with the  incredible response and popularity of Windows 10. They have expressed their gratitude to the users too.
