Kedar Jadav Wins Heart Of India On His Maiden Century

Domestic players coming on the spotlight of the international Cricket is nothing new. Examples are plenty in India as well as across the world. But the story of Kedar Jadhav is little different and this devoted fan of Salman Khan did it something in the Dabang format. As he struck his maiden century on the eve of the third and final ODI against Zimbabwe in Harare, India got a chance to experience the winning feat.

India-Zimbabwe ODI series has seen the active and winning participation of several debutant cricketers like Jadhav. He joined Manish Pandey, who is also a debutant at the crease after India were reduced to 82 for four. But the man in 30 was ravishing who did everything in a Dabaang style. The moment he caught the reins, it took just 86 balls to reach the milestone. The fantastic, yet unbeaten knock of 105 off 87 balls was studded with 12 fours and a huge six.

The duo made an innings worth watch and remember for a lifetime. It's not simply a match that got its player sweeping centuries within the blink of an eye. The match was a winning sagas of a player, who is a debutant in the international cricket, but played it like the veterans do. As he built the innings with Pandey, the 30 year old debutant went all guns blazing towards the end. And it only spurred him up resulting into a great performance to guide India in the face of 276 for five. Jadhav himself scored a 144-run stand with Manish Pandey and then the duo broke up with the fifth wicket of Manish Pandey. Needless to say, Kedar Jadhav's excellent century saved India from collapsing in the early stage and let it reach a competitive total.

During the partnership Manish Pandey, scored a 71 off 86-balls, thus securing the 12th position among the Indian cricketers to score a fifty on debut. Jadhav, on the other hand had his debut in the international cricket against Sri Lanka in 2014. His outstanding performance back then made his inclusion in the Zimbabwe tour quite likely. However, the senior players opting to take a break made his chance even more obvious.

And, you also need to keep in mind that all days are not same. This is why, perhaps the first two ODIs of the series, could not score Jadhav something worth laudable, but the sweeping century in the third ODI gained him all the spotlight.
