Why The Match Between Daredevils And Lions Is Worth Watching?

The slew of one-sided finishes has probably made IPL highly predictable this season, but, the experts believe, that today’s match has some zing in it. Why? Because the Daredevils are facing the Lions after the thrilling win against KKR on Saturday. Well, IPL, being so mainstream these days, that even a splendid innings does not seem to create a lasting memory. Still, the cricket gurus are quite hopeful that the match between Daredevils and the Lions will make adrenaline rush much higher.

And here’s why?

2016 has been surely a welcoming season for the Delhi Daredevils after having 10 wins in their bags during the last 3 seasons. Their splendid wins in the six matches of the previous seasons, have already placed them is a comfortable position in the Season 9. Then again the miserable performance of Gujarat Lions, suffering a 23-run loss against laggards Kings XI Punjab, has already given the Daredevils an upper hand on Tuesday..

Another thing that’s considered a conducive factor to Daredevil’s success is the astute leadership of Zaheer Khan. So is the performances of their foreign contingent. It’s already proved that Chris Morris has been their most impressive foreign buy. Those awesome end-overs bowling, and amazing ball-striking, and surely his unbeaten stint of 32-ball 82 in a narrow loss for Daredevils surely make them a powerful line up for today’s match.

However, the Daredevils, have found their successful opening partnerships after trying out three different combinations. In spite of the team revelling in the glory of success, Shreyas Iyer is under pressure to retain his place. He has just 22 runs in his bags after playing in five innings.

Though the Gujarat Lions do not have any major batting concerns, their miserable loss against Punjab can be a wake-up call. They need to work on it surely, if they want to retain their position.

Let’s see how exciting lions and Daredevils turns out to be. Probably, today’s match will be a game changer for both the teams.
